Giancarlo Sarvese began his career as a self-educated artist, though his soul has always been imbued by a deep aesthetic sense.
His professional experience has always been deeply rooted in the world of creativity, driving him from the world of fashion to the art of painting, thus becoming the ideal vehicle for him to express his own artistic flair in the most concrete and profound way.
He quickly developed a sharp and well-defined personal style, though his artistic career has been evolving constantly.
From his very first works, featuring explosions of colours along with the frequent addition of tactile elements, he moved to a perfect fusion of drawing and colours in his later paintings, to finally get rid of any cut and slot filled with material on the canvas and give way to further works, where colour becomes pure and is presented to the audience in a more balanced and light form.
There is however something uncommon and hidden in his art: some of his works, either in the dark or by means of a Wood’s lamp, disclose different images and give the audience the illusion to be moved by two completely different paintings… even though they are facing just one.
Giancarlo Sarvese exhibited both in public and private art galleries in Italy and participated in various Art Fairs.
